Jim Bognet Will Take PA Backwards.

Name

Repeal Obamacare

Jim Bognet spent years trying to elect Republicans who promised to repeal Obamacare because he said he supported what they stood for, and now he’s trying to get himself elected to do more of the same. Bognet called the law that protects people with pre-existing conditions a “disaster” and says we shouldn’t “double down” on it. He’s campaigning on continuing the same failed agenda that keeps trying to take healthcare from millions, and he’s stood by silently while the Trump Administration and the GOP actively tries to take healthcare from millions in court.

If the Affordable Care Act is repealed, 130 million Americans with pre-existing conditions would lose their coverage. And anyone who was sick with Coronavirus could see it treated as a pre-existing condition.

Cut Social Security

Jim Bognet said the “big enchilada” to cut costs was “entitlement reform.” But that’s just GOP doublespeak for cutting your hard-earned benefits. Bognet served as the policy director for Mitt Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign, crafting Romney’s platform that included privatizing parts of the Social Security system and raising the retirement age. While Bognet was leading his policy shop, Romney even called to reduce benefits for people who spent years paying into the system. You earned your benefits from Social Security and Medicare, and no one should take those benefits from you.

Won’t Stand Up To China

Jim Bognet claims he’ll stand up to China, but CBS News reported his largest campaign backer sits on the board of a Chinese pharmaceutical company. The largest donor to a Super PAC backing Bognet has made over $1 million helping to manufacture drugs in China. Bognet won’t stand up to China because his largest backer (and college friend) is too busy making money over there.
